Back at Sundvolden hotel where it all started

In the heart of Norway, where nature’s beauty meets the warmth of hospitality, Sundvolden Hotel and Arribatec Hospitality have embarked on a new adventure.

It all began in 2018 when the seeds of innovation were sown, and a vision was crafted. Sundvolden was our first-ever customer to implement our self-service kiosk. And now, five years later, we find ourselves back where it all started, with a new and upgraded check-in solution.

A vision unveiled

Cecilie Laeskogen, CEO at Sundvolden Hotel, explains:

“Our vision is to be ‘Loved by our guests and admired by our competitors.’ We continuously work to enhance the guest experience and create delighted guests, and we see increased use of self-check-in/check-out as a part of this.”

The historical business- and conference hotel had a passion for setting new standards in guest satisfaction, and Arribatec Hospitality helped them turn that into reality.

Years of dedication, valuable discussions, brainstorming, and a shared commitment to excellence led to the development of the market-leading self check-in solution.

The evolution of the check-in solutions as Sundvolden, from 2018 to 2023. They gradually went from one to four kiosks with an upgraded design, new functionalities and our brand new payment solution.

New and upgraded solution

At Arribatec, we never accept the status quo, and neither does Sundvolden. We believe there are always better ways to host and serve and will never stop improving our hospitality solutions.

Today, Sundvolden Hotel has four self-check-in kiosks with the newly launched Arribatec Payments, a testament to their dedication to staying ahead of the curve. But it’s more than just technology; it’s about returning to the place where it all began, where our first ever kiosk was installed, and where the seeds of our business adventure were planted.

“Now we have excellent self-check-in options both in the reception and in the lobby of our largest meeting room, Sundvolden Hall,” Cecilie passionately says.
